We believe every mom and baby dyad deserve a nourished beginning.
Our course covers the basics of nourishing your baby at the breast as well as nourishing your own postpartum self physically, mentally, and emotionally.
We will walk you through the entire breastfeeding journey from birth through weaning. This prenatal breastfeeding and postpartum education will help you plan ahead for your own transition from maiden to mother.
This course completely replaces a breastfeeding 101 class AND offers so much more since it's self-paced. You can also look forward to encouragement for dads as well as freezer meal plans, postpartum recipes, and more. Nourished Beginning's hope is that your whole family is starting this new chapter on the same page.
We're so proud of you for being here.
Hi! I'm Cortney, IBCLC
With the birth of our first daughter— breastfeeding did not come naturally in my first year of motherhood; I quickly realized that there was much more to be learned than I had thought. Support was hard to come by. I saw a gap that needed to be filled in our small town. Inspired by the womanly body and it’s functionality, I felt a calling to use my knowledge and personal experiences to be the resource that our community so badly needed.
Grow With The Flow Lactation Services was then born. My private practice has provided so much fruit to both myself and the families I meet.
I deeply believe in the power of postpartum support + wellness. Nourished Beginnings came to fruition through this mindset. Our hopes are that you leave empowered, nourished and loved.
I truly just feel blessed to be here.
thank you for helping me learn.
Hi! I'm Therese, RN, IBCLC
I started my career as a NICU nurse, but after 8 years at the bedside and one rough introduction to motherhood and breastfeeding, I pivoted to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
In 2016, I realized I could serve moms and families in a more whole-istic way outside the hospital, so I created my private practice, Happy Mama Healthy Baby. I added postpartum doula training to my resume along the way as well.
It seems that a lot of community and momentum that had started to build around the postpartum experience has crumbled in the wake of 2020, so I started dreaming about how to bring a deeper understanding of this journey to a wider range of women, and the idea of Nourished Beginnings was born.
I have three young children of my own and a deeply empathetic understanding of the tenderness of the postpartum period and early days of breastfeeding.
I’ve noticed that many, although obviously not all, breastfeeding challenges could be softened or avoided altogether with good prenatal education.
This is my wish for you in co-creating this course.
